Terms & Conditions 

Payment 


Regular season programming may either be paid in full at the time of registration or paid monthly. If choosing the monthly payment option, we require first month’s fees paid in full on the 15th of September. The next payment will be for October. 

ï Payment for regular season programs are due on the 15th of every month and are debited 

automatically from accounts.
There are no refunds for missed classes or those who chose to quit the program.
Late charges will apply to all outstanding fees. A 10% late fee will be applied after 30 days and after 60 days the dancer will be removed from the program.
Please be advised that class schedules and or FAME’s programming may be subject to change at any time. 

 

Cancellation

 

Classes may be cancelled for extreme weather. In the event that classes are cancelled due to inclement weather conditions, a make-up class(es) will be scheduled. However, no refunds will be offered under any circumstances unless otherwise specified. You will you receive an email in the event that a class must be cancelled. All classes subject to change or cancellation. 

 

Obligations & Responsibilities 

Please notify the office of any change of address, email or phone number. The email on file is the main point of contact for all information.
Students 12 & under are not to be left unsupervised at the studio when they are not in class – we are not responsible for children left unattended. Dancers are encouraged to wait inside the reception area for their parents. We ask that everyone respect the House of Fame Academy Inc. Premises (“the Premise”) and clean up any mess left behind. Any person who vandalizes or causes damage to the Premise will be responsible to pay for any damages incurred. 

We expect all students to arrive to class on time and to be picked up when the class is scheduled to finish.
Parents are to remain outside of the classroom and are not permitted to enter the classroom for any reason. It is distracting for dancers and teachers alike to have parents walking in and out of the class. This results in time loss in the class lesson for your dancer. If you need to pick up your dancer early from class, please let reception know and they will get the dancer for you. 

FAME is not responsible for any injury or loss incurred due to activities and/or travel to and/or from events held by the studio. 

Dancers who are seriously ill or contagious are NOT to attend class. Please call the studio if your dancer will be away from class.
There is to be no food or drinks in any areas of the studio except for the lobby or the lounge. Please remind your dancers that bringing food and drinks into change rooms is prohibited. 

Water only is permitted in the dance rooms. Please do not send your dancer to class with juice or sport drinks of any kind.
All articles of clothing, dance shoes, and reusable water bottles left in the studios after the class has ended will be placed in the lost and found bin. Please check this regularly as its contents are donated monthly. 

 

Competition Dancers 

A Non-refundable costume deposit in the amount of $50+hst per costume is due at the time of registration for Superstar programs. The remaining balance is due December 1st.
Competitive students will be given a list of guidelines that must be followed in order to remain on the competition team. Competitive dancers may be removed from the program if these guidelines are not adhered to – in which case no refunds will be issued. All students who are new to the competitive program will be accepted on a trial basis for the first two months. It is the sole discretion of the director as to which dancers will participate on the competitive and which dancers will perform solos, duets and trios. Disputes regarding the director’s decision will not be tolerated. 

Dancers apart of the FAME competitive dance team are prohibited from dancing with any other competitive dance team and or studio. Dancers who are found to be in violation of this provision will be immediately removed from the competition team. No refund will be given to the students, if students are removed for this reason. 

 

Behaviour

 

Students must respect their teachers and peers at all time. Negative behaviour will not be tolerated and will result in removal of the program after 3 warnings.
Dancers and Parents are expected to demonstrate and encourage positive behaviour and attitudes. House of FAME Dance Academy Inc. (“FAME”) is a family orientated environment that aims to provide a welcoming and safe place for all families. Please help us keep the studio in such regard. Please do not send your child to class if they are seriously ill or if they are contagious. Please call the studio if the dancer will be away from class.

Acknowledgement 

Such Dancer, Parent, Guardian and or Caregiver, hereinafter “the Customer” understands and acknowledges that the Customer is entering into a binding contract with FAME. By signing this contract the Customer also agrees to bound by and abide by FAME’s policies, including billing, class schedule, attendance and dress code.
